It’s Monday, and today is Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Since Dr. King was murdered in Memphis, Tennessee on April 4, 1968 at the age of 39, America has disappointingly not progressed far past the immesnse hate and useless rage that surrounds discrimination based on: Age, Race, Sex, National Origin, Religion, Disability, Pregnancy, Medical Condition, Marital Status or Sexual Orientation.

I am very disappointed, almost daily, by fellow human-beings and my countrymen as the world continues to be filled with so much growing hate.

My wish is that everyone could see the world … if only for a second, through the eyes of Dr. King. We’re all in this together, and nobody is getting out of this alive, so why not make it amazing for EVERYONE.

Can we try, at least try, treating each other with dignity and respect.
